Continuity in production processes is golden. Still, you have to stop for filter maintenance from time to time, don’t you? Duplex Filters offer a smart solution that lets you perform filter changes without stopping the process. What are Duplex Filters and how do they work?

Duplex Filters consist of multiple identical filter housings mounted in parallel with a switching mechanism between them. This design allows the seamless redirection of fluid flows from one filter housing to another without interrupting the process.

The operating principle is simple but effective:

1. During normal operation, the fluid flows through one of the filter houses.
2. When the filter becomes dirty and requires replacement, the lever is turned.
3. The fluid flow switches directly to the second, clean filter housing.
4. The contaminated filter can now be safely cleaned or replaced without a production stop.

The changeover occurs quickly and without pressure drop or air entry into the system, which is especially important in sensitive processes.
