General info Autojet Filter

This fully automatic, self-cleaning filter system uses waterjet technology to deliver high performance filtration of liquids containing solid particles or those of a sticky or viscous nature. The water jet technology often leads to faster, more effective cleaning. The system can be situated inline or in bypass mode during the filtration process.

The filter screens come in a range of micronages from 25 to 3,000 microns and are available in various materials such as stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316, Stainless Steel 316 Wedge Wire material (also known as Trislot material), and stainless steel with a Nylon Tissue filter cloth.

As the filter screen or cloth becomes dirty, the pressure difference increases. This change is detected by two types of transmitters: analog for visual reading by an operator, and digital to initiate the self-cleaning operation. If the Delta P on the filter screen or cloth becomes dirty, the system will automatically switch to self-cleaning mode.

The flushing function based on Delta P is adjustable, generally recommended between 0.6 and 1.2 Bar differential pressure. Time control or time-based rinsing is also an option. This entirely depends on your specific process situation, type of fluid, and contamination levels.

During the cleaning cycle, the drain opens, and the spray nozzle begins to rotate. The rotating water jets clean the interior of the filter screen or cloth, flushing the contaminants to the exterior due to pump pressure. After 10-20 seconds (adjustable), the filtration system resumes its normal filtration mode.

Versions & Material

This fully automatic self-cleaning filter system, equipped with spray nozzle technology, comes in three distinct versions: Y-Shape, L-Shape, and O-Shape. The choice between these is determined by the layout of your connections, process requirements, and filtration solution preferences.

Each filter system comes complete with valves, gauges, and an electronic controller for a turn-key solution. The automatic spray nozzle filter systems are available in a range of materials including stainless steel 304 or 316, Duplex 2205, and a Polyurethane coating suitable for class ISO 12944 / Marine Environments C5-M.

Standard connection sizes range from 2” to DN200, but the system can accommodate larger and varying sizes as per your needs. This versatility ensures a fitting filter solution for every unique process situation.
