General Information about Meltblown Filters
Meltblown filter cartridges are recognized for their exceptional filtering capabilities. They are composed of 100% high purity polypropylene microfibers, which ensures excellent filtration and good thermal stability. Each cartridge is designed to process fluids in a straight path. The pore structure of these cartridges may vary slightly, being either fixed or graded, which helps in the removal of both fine and coarse, deformable and non-deformable contaminants.
These meltblown cartridges can be produced and supplied in lengths ranging from 4½” to 60”. Not confined to standard lengths, custom dimensions can also be delivered to meet specific filtration requirements. The micronage of these filters varies from 0.5 micron to as much as 150 micron, providing a wide selection for different filtration precision levels.
All these cartridges are of the highest quality and meet today’s filtration standards. They come as Double Open End (DOE) and Single Open End (SOE) versions. The SOE version offers various end cap styles. While these filters don’t have an inner core as standard, it can be provided if needed, especially in situations with a lot of pollution and a high rising Delta P.
In addition to the standard versions with a diameter of 60-65 mm, there are also Big Blue versions available. These high-performance meltblown polypropylene elements have a larger diameter of 100 to 110 mm, enabling a longer service life and larger flow handling.
