Why differential pressure measurement is indispensable in filtration systems
In industrial processes, filtration of liquids and gases is essential. It prevents damage to equipment, keeps quality high and saves costs. An important way to ensure your filtration system is working properly is through differential pressure measurement.
This technique measures the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of a filter. This way you can quickly see how dirty the filter is. And the result? You know exactly when maintenance is needed and avoid unnecessary costs or breakdowns.
At JMF Filters, we combine this technology with innovative solutions. The result is that filters last longer, you save energy and your systems remain reliable.
What does a differential pressure measurement do?
A differential pressure measurement has several advantages:
Spot contamination quickly When a filter becomes clogged, the resistance and thus the pressure difference increases. By measuring this in time, you can prevent damage to your system.
Schedule maintenance With differential pressure measurement, you perform maintenance at the right time. Filters are cleaned or replaced only when necessary, extending their lifespan.
Save energy A clean filter makes liquids and gases flow better. This makes the system more efficient and reduces your energy costs.
Avoid damage Ex cessive pressure differences indicate a clogged filter, which can cause damage to pumps or other components. Timely intervention prevents costly repairs.
Pressure differential with filtration systems from JMF Filters
We develop filter systems that work automatically and are based on differential pressure measurement:
Brush technology
Ideal for liquids with coarse particles. At a pressure difference of 0.6-1.2 bar, the system automatically switches to cleaning mode. Rotating brushes quickly remove dirt so the system can continue immediately. Suitable for petrochemical, water treatment and food industries, among others.
Nozzle with Autojet technology
Perfect for liquids with sticky particles. Differential pressure starts a cleaning cycle where water jets clean the filter. This is ideal for processes where hygiene is important, such as in the food industry.
Automatic backwash filters
These filters clean themselves as soon as a certain pressure difference is reached. The process does not stop during cleaning, making them perfect for water treatment and industrial applications.
