What is liquid filter housing?
Filter housings are basically vessels designed to hold replaceable cartridges, bags, or elements. They are a major component of current filtration systems and are designed to make sure fluids get properly filtered. They even accommodate various flow rates and pressures.
We specialize in advising, producing and supplying industrial filter housings in stainless steel 304, 316 and 316L. The connections can be supplied to size, including Flange, BSP thread, NPT thread, ANSI Flange, Sanitary Clamp, Milk coupling, etc., ranging from 1” to 10”. The seals are available in EPDM, NBR, Viton and Teflon. Depending on the needs of your process and fluid type, we can provide customized solutions.
Standard types of filter housings
- Candle filter housing: Our range includes both single-cartridge versions and multi-cartridge filter housings that can accommodate from 3 to as many as 173 candles. These filter housings are suitable for 10”, 20”, 30” & 40” elements, and can be used with double open end (DOE) or single open end (SOE) filter candles. They are available in both low and high pressure classes. For units with more than 10 cartridges, a Davit Lifter (swivel wheel & swing arm) is used.
- Basket filters: These are designed to remove large particles from liquids. Normally, they will consist of a perforated basket that retains the filter media. Basket filters could work with high flow rates in applications and can be cleaned against Yar dh multiple times for re-use.
- Stainless steel filter housings: Corrosion-resistant housings made of stainless steel excel in very demanding situations involving processing chemicals and industries dealing with food. These are available in a different configuration to suit particular filtration requirements.
- Single filter housings: Filter casings designed to hold a single filter, best in low-flow applications or where space is limited. Laboratories and small industrial processes are the typical areas of application.
- Bag filter housings: These units possess high flow rates and high dirt-holding capacity; therefore, they find many uses in industries ranging from water treatment and oil/gas to others. They are easily maintainable due to the feature of replaceability of bags quickly.
- Multi-Bag filter housings: Multiple bag filters employed permit this housing to increase the filtration capacity and extend periods for maintenance. They apply in large-scale industrial applications where operations are of continuous nature.
- Cartridge filter housings: These have a versatile use in a wide array of applications, from the purification of water to processing chemicals. Depending on the kind of filtration an application calls for, it could host different types of cartridges, like pleated, melt-blown, or string-wound.
Bag filter housing
Our range also includes basket filter housings, suitable for one filter bag or multiple bag filters, ranging from 1 to 14 per filter. The available lengths are suitable for single, double and triple length. We can also supply size 3 and size 4 for single filter units.
The connections, pressure classes, seals and finishing options are the same as for our candle filter housings. We can provide tailor-made solutions depending on your process requirements and fluid type.
