Filter specialist Lars received a call from a technical engineer at an oil and fuel storage tank terminal in December of last year. The inquiry pertained to a suction filter needed for an activated carbon silo of approximately 12 m3 within the tank park. The existing suction filter, made of plastic, had failed due to the high pressure associated with such a column. Following a thorough telephone consultation and internal deliberation at our office, we promptly visited the site to assess the situation.
The most viable solution identified was the replacement of the current plastic filter cartridges with stainless steel 316. After the completion of drawing work and the submission of a customized quotation, the oil giant approved the production of four Custom Made Filters. Using the original as a reference, we replicated the filters in-house. The entire process, from drawing approval to production, took approximately three weeks. The special filter cartridges were delivered and installed at the tank park in early 2020, resulting in another satisfied customer and, in turn, our satisfaction.
